This historic home was renovated by Golden Hands Construction and in excellent condition. It is in the Prospect Hill Historic District, and within walking distance to downtown. To summarize some of the major changes: a new foundation wall was built under the front porch and front part of the house, the walls (with the exception of two rooms) were taken down to the slats, insulated and new drywall installed. The drop ceilings were taken back up to the original height with new joists. The floors in the kitchen, both bathrooms, and the study were removed to the joists, and the floors were leveled and reinforced. There are three new closets, and in the kitchen, the cupboards, appliances (except for the refrigerator), and lights were replaced- in addition, the kitchen was redesigned. A second bathroom was added (with shower and laundry hook-up), and the old bathroom was completely renovated with new fixtures, a tiled bathtub/shower, and a new floor and sub-floor. The wood floors in the front two rooms were refinished and there is new carpet on the other floors, which have been leveled where needed. Most of the house was completely rewired and the entire house was re-plumbed. It's a house from the 20's in exceptional shape (essentially move-in ready), in a fabulous neighborhood within the historic district. We love this place. You can walk to downtown, the university, the Farmers' Market and to Lotus!
