This property is one of the last remaining private parcels within the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. The property is bordered on three side by the Refuge and has been in our family for nearly 100 years.
It is located on Hwy 80 six miles north of the Necedah intersection with Hwy 21 in Juneau County. Map location:

There is a gravel driveway leading into the property at Fire # 12335. Your phone GPS may not yet find this new Fire #.
The property is 33+ acres and is divided by Highway 80 and railroad tracks. There is about 25 acres on the west side and about 7 acres on the east side. ATV trails are present in the west portion . The 7 acres on the east side is accessible by foot.
This refuge is always open with no limitations to foot travel. The refuge in this area is open to hunting. ATV and other vehicles are prohibited in the refuge.
The refuge is about 40,000 acres. Add to this Meadow Valley Wildlife Area and Wood County State Forest and there is over 100,000 acres of wild and beautiful land easily available for hunting, fishing and recreation.
We have identified a wide range of wildlife including deer, bear. wolf, coyote, bobcat, fox, turkey and grouse.
All four property corners are marked with Refuge boundary stakes. The land is mostly high and dry with wetland portions with duck nesting areas.
There is an established area to park a large travel trailer.
The land has been in a private Forest Management Plan since 2008, and expires about 2033. Contact Juneau County for information. Owners have exclusive use to property. Others must seek permission.
Electric power and natural gas are accessible at the road (Hwy 80).
