Its Zen Garden of Contentment & Happiness is one of only five or so AUTHENTIC Chinese classical gardens in the US. It is the only one that can be bought; the others are public gardens. The garden was designed and built by Beijing architect Yong Pan, creator of the famous Chinese Gardens at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/our-garden/gardens-conservatories/international-gardens/chinese-garden) - remarkably similar to Dragon Wall as both are modelled (copied) after the Scholar’s Gardens in SE China.
All materials and labor were imported from Suzhou, China.
The 6.6-acre estate is in bucolic countryside surrounded by forest and several small, upscale elegant horse farms yet near the high growth and dynamic towns of Greenville and Spartanburg, SC, minutes from GSP airport, the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and many lakes.
The house has three sections all on a single level - a separate guest wing, an entertainment wing, and master wing. There is also an authentic Chinese cottage – a xiao wu.
The house is fully wired for audio, phone, and cable. There are 31 built in speakers, 9 speakers in the theater alone. There is an astonishing # of built-ins plus 5 storage rooms, and an indoor endless pool & spa.
