So what's the deal with the duct tape? We had frozen pipes last year while on vacation and we set the temp too low while we were gone. This caused the flooring to warp. We got the worst spot replaced (bedroom) and just taped the worst spots elsewhere with duct tape until we saved up enough to replace all the flooring, but now we have been offered jobs elsewhere and are moving instead. It's perfectly livable as is, or call up a flooring place to get new floors or carpet put in before you move in all your stuff! Your choice! And if you decide on new floors, you get to choose what fits your fancy.
