An old chapter is closing and a new journey will begin when I sell my beautiful, bright, spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium with detached garage. Facing the beautiful, well-kept greens of the Cedar Rapids Country Club's lower 9 of their golf course, you will enjoy all it's wildlife and fun watching golfers walking, riding, putting and swinging their clubs from the covered patio. What I love about this home is how bright and spacious it is because of the southern exposure, the large window and patio door in the front of the unit! I love sitting on the patio and breathing fresh air on those perfect days when there is a slight breeze. This unit was freshly painted and new carpet laid when it was purchased in January 2021, but due to allergies, all carpet was removed and replaced with waterproof, luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the complete condo. In the kitchen, additional cabinet drawers and counterspace were added into the breakfast nook area, as well as a larger cupboard and cabinet for wastebasket and recylables storage near the stove to free floor space and hide unsightlies. All new stainless steel GE appliances were also added to the kitchen, along with a new ceiling light fixture. The main bedroom's private bath was completely gutted and now has a walkin, handicap accessible shower, new vanity and high toilet for those physically challenged with tubs. However, the guest bath still has a bathtub/shower for those who like to relax and soak the stress away, or just for guests to have a place to shower when visiting. The toilet was also upgraded to a taller height. As you can see by the pictures, both the main and guest bedrooms are very large and can accommodate a lot of furniture in them and still feel spacious. One thing this condo has that many don't, is storage! There is the main closet in the Living room that is huge and accommodates coats, luggage, tool boxes, winter boots, and more! The hallway storage closet holds linens, kitchen appliances that don't fit in the kitchen and are seldom used, along with bulk purchase items. The laundry room has cabinets galore on the wall above the washer and dryer and laundry sink, and then more storage in the utility closet across from the washer and dryer. Then we have the very large clothing closet in the Main Bedroom that also accommodates lots and lots of clothes along with shelving for other types of item storage. Outside the backdoor of the condo is addition storage closet that comes with the unit that is 10' tall and 3 1/2' wide by 5' deep with shelving to the top. The other optional storage available for $35.00/year rent is located under the stairs opposite of the storage I just mentioned that can accommodate bikes or any other large item needs. Worth the $35 to have for sure! The open living and dining room area is expansive and allows for any kind of arrangement of furniture in it. All furniture you see here comes with the unit along with the area rug. All shelves stay and are attached to the wall. The front entrance takes you to the front foyer where the Post Office boxes are located. The Pit Boss pellet grill is HOA approved for use and comes with pellets and everything you need to grill or smoke foods on it. It has an insulated cover for smoking or grilling in the winter as well as a full cover for the complete unit. This grill is included along with the two patio chairs and cover for them, and all the railing planters for the gardener who loves flowers or growing a herbs and a few veggies in containers! The neighbors are friendly and we all in the association watchout for each other here at Broderick Place South. The members of this condominium association are like extended family members.
