Have Lovers Leap and the American River just outside your door! In the winter, be parking at Sierra in 15 minutes, or to Heavenly or Kirkwood in under an hour! We have loved this cabin, but it's time for us to up-size, so we are moving down the street. We hope to find someone who will love it as much as we have! Built in 1983 but updated over the past 8 years, it's breezy in the summer time, cozy in the winter time, and easy to maintain. It is on privately owned land that borders national forest (it is NOT a forest service cabin). You can live in it year round and the County plows the road during winter. There is one bedroom downstairs (currently used as an office/ guest room) and a sleeping loft upstairs that fits a king-sized bed. The one bathroom has a clawfoot tub with a shower over the tub. There is full laundry hook-up and currently a washing machine. We bought the cabin in Spring 2020. Since then, we installed new floors, an entirely new kitchen with a Bosch dishwasher and an induction stove, a new wood stove, a mini-split for heat and A/C, a transfer switch for easy use of a generator, and custom blinds. Over the years, we have planted hundreds of bulbs that bloom in springtime. The exterior was cleaned and re-stained in 2020 and the deck was updated in 2021. There is a shipping container we use for gear and out of season storage that was delivered in late 2021, but would be easy to sell if not desired by the new owner. The owners we bought from in 2020 had gutted the old kitchen and floors, updated the plumbing, replaced the roof, and installed an on-demand water heater. We are happy to leave some of the furniture and open to including the snow-blower and generator.
