Meet Whim. She's a gorgeous, 36” houseboat (432 sq ft) that has been featured in both Refinery 29 and California Magazine for her light and airy interior design makeover. She was custom re-designed from the hull up several years ago and is a stunning home on the water. Moored in the sunny banana belt of Sausalito means that while the rest of the Bay is socked in with fog, you’ll be sitting on your spacious top deck enjoying the sun and cool breeze. Inside, she has dark hardwood floors throughout and all the modern amenities that you’re looking for - from hard line internet to a modern kitchen and recessed LED lighting. Seating in the kitchen, lounge and above on the upper deck make working from home a breeze. The bathroom has modern subway tile, a new Jabsco toilet, and full height shower. There is an inline hot water heater and pressurized water system that delivers hot and cold water to multiple sinks and onboard shower. The galley (kitchen) features a butcher block counter, two electric burners, under the counter fridge, and a modern pull-down sprayer sink that makes whipping up a gourmet dinner a breeze. In the lounge area, there is a two-seater sofa with ottoman to make a comfy reading or Netflix nook. Above the lounge is the lofted queen size bed platform. Outside, you’ll find three separate living areas: the smaller bow deck with a built in bench, a medium sized aft deck perfect for grilling, and the spacious top deck with room with patio furniture to entertain up to 6 guests and enjoy the warm summer evenings. Note: Whim is a perfect little home on the water in one of the only legal liveaboard slips left in the bay (literally!). She has been taken care of meticulously over the last several years to stay in tip-top condition. Living on the water is an amazing experience - it's super relaxing and you'll feel like you're on vacation everyday -- but living on the water is different than living on land. The boat has electricity and great wifi connectivity, but uses a freshwater tank to hold all drinking and shower water and has a pump toilet. The boat is secured well to the dock, but it can gently sway, depending on the wind/weather.
